FAQ

How is this event supporting the Bernie Sander’s Campaign?

We’re glad you’re as excited as we are about this event. What’s unique about this festival is that your entrance pass is proof of contribution to the campaign! The campaign has advised us that because of FEC rules the absolute best way to contribute to the campaign is by facilitating individual campaign contributions so that will be our focus throughout the day in addition to voter registration, phone banking, and fun community events. A percentage of the net proceeds will also be donated to the campaign as permitted by the campaign. The rest of the funds will be used to help host other events including but not limited to more Bernie Man events leading up to the general election.

Vendors at this event are not required to donate to the campaign but have been advised that a suggested donation of 20% is made directly to the Bernie Sanders campaign and a donation of 5% is made to the production organization to continue hosting further events.

Said another way, the most direct and best way to donate as advised by the official campaign is through an individual donation at the door (in exchange for a discounted ticket). The net proceeds will be split between several important mission aligned causes including but not limited to Bernie Sanders‘ official campaign.
